This book is a sequel to Peeps, but it could possibly (though not ideally) stand alone. In it, five teens who form a band are brought into the struggle between vampires, vampire hunters, and some ancient evil that both are fighting. The book features fairly intense action and Westerfeld’s characteristic nerdy-but-relevant science facts. It could appeal to boys and girls, especially kids who are into music. I’d recommend it for vampire fans looking for a story with more action and less romance than the Twilight series. -Abby Wright, Nashua PL
While I loved this book, I think to fully understand the whole twist on vampirism and whats going on you do need to read Peeps first. Danielle, Chesley Memorial Library, Northwood
