FlumeAward – The Martian The Martian: a Novel by Andy Weir
My adult book group really enjoyed this book and I can see it appealing to the upper level of this age range, especially kids into science. It certainly has all the hallmarks of a good survival tale, a snarky narrator that I think teens could relate to once they start reading, and it is nice to have a book where the end isn’t a complete downer. Might need a little "sell" but could be a worthy one to get into the hands of kids who might not otherwise consider it.
