FlumeAward – The Maze Runner

FlumeAward – The Maze Runner Discussion page for //The Maze Runner// by James Dashner

Was on a previous Isinglass Teen Read List -Amy I.

I agree with Amy that if a book has already been on a list, let’s not put it on the Flume because it’s too much overlap. And it’s an older book.

At first the story seemed rather cliched. Amnesiac kid gets put in a strange situation, etc etc. But then it did get a bit different and then it sucked me in. But it forces you to keep reading the series. Wait, maybe that’s a good thing. This book is very male-centric, but that improves a little bit in the next book. Fans of The Hunger Games may or may not like it. — Julie Andrews – Nashua Public Library (Update: 2/8/12 – There’s 2 sequels out now. I’ve only read one of them so far. At this point, it’s probably better considered as a series.)

This is an ok book that will appeal to boys. I will read the sequel. Yasmin . Portsmouth Library

Already on a list.
