FlumeAward – White Darkness Discussion page for White Darkness
A hard book to catagorize and a bit hard to get into but beautifully written with memorable characters and vivid descriptions of the Arctic. Well worth reading.
I did this book with my Teen Book Club, since it was a Printz winner, but none of them really seemed to like it. I think they found it too disturbing (one girl even said, "I had to keep stopping to read something funny"). I personally enjoyed it and I loved the connection to "Journey to the Center of the Earth"…
