FlumeAward – Dangerous Girls Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas
Summary – While on spring break in Aruba, a girl is accused of killing her best friend and must stand trial for murder in a foreign country.
Drinking, drugs, wealth and sex. This book is definitely a bit edgy and definitely geared to the high school crowd. I think it will appeal mostly to girls and would recommend it to my teen girl readers. I personally am not fond of books which go back and forth in time. This book is well written and the characters are fully developed and you really begin to care about them. I did enjoy the book and it kept me reading to see how it all turns out. I have to admit the ending surprised me a little. However, I do not feel it is a strong contender for the Flume. Barb Ballou, Whipple Free Library, New Boston
