I was somewhat predisposed to disliking this book from the beginning. I did not, however, dislike it as much as I thought I would. It is 100% chick-lit filled with drama, gossip, sex, drugs, peer pressure, riches, and glamour. The language is strong at times. It did hold my attention. I think your average gossip girl and clique girl readers would love it, however, I don’t find it having broad appeal or literary merit for the top 13.
