I started reading this one, and I really thought it was too vague to be a stand-alone. I didn’t finish the book, but 30 pages into it, I realized it would have probably been helpful to have read the previous three books in the series. Our library records indicate that Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo had the highest circulation, but the other two have rarely been checked out. I think other titles would be more fitting for the final cut. The writing, however, was pretty good – nice and tightly written.
