I think Palahniuk is a superb author whose works are social commentaries on our lives. With that said, my smart upper level boys read it. He doesn’t appeal to the majority of students because they "don’t get" what he is trying to say. – Kelly Budd, Keene High School
I love Palahniuk, but I think only upper high school kids would want to read him. This (and I would guess Snuff, but I haven’t read it) has adult content and is sort of "gross" (the whole thing involves a guy who can time travel and who goes back in time to have sex with his own ancestors to refine a strain of rabies… I think!) and I’m not sure this particular book would appeal to many teens. – Katie Spofford, Wadleigh Memorial Library
