FlumeAward – The Scorch Trials Discussion page for The Scorch Trials by James Dashner
It picks up where Maze Runner left off, and gets both more puzzling and more revealing at the same time. If you read the first book, you have to keep reading to this one. And if you read this one, then you’ll be waiting for the next one. Because not enough questions are answered yet. Girls play a little larger role in this book, but not much, really. Still very male-centric. Also struck me as more violent than the first one. I could take or leave this series, really, except I’m stuck waiting for the next one. — Julie Andrews, Nashua Public Library
I agree. Once you get into the series, you have to keep going. However, this book does not stand alone. You really need to have read the Maze Runner. For that reason, I can’t recommend this for the list.
