Dr. Who is popular with some students. This book and another Who book we have in our collection have not circulated as much as I had hoped despite advertising. – Kelly Budd, Keene High School
As a rabid Doctor Who fan, I want to scream, "YES!!!" and type the rest of this in all caps, but I sadly don’t think this belongs on the list. While this book is very popular here, and is in fact out right now, it’s really more of a reference, dip-in & out book. There’s no narrative, no cover-to-cover necessity for anyone but the truly obsessed (those even more into the show than I). It’s a fun book, and all of my DW titles move well, fiction, nonfiction or audio, so I would recommend this book to any library, but I don’t know that it fits with the list. It would be like nominating a very specified Guinness World Records book or a Ripley’s Believe it or Not. But yay to DW for getting a book nominated at least! My Doctor Who Club members here would be psyched (even if they’ve already read it)!
(and if you do audios, can I recommend "The Forever Trap?" Catherine Tate does a great David Tennant impression, and there’s a scarf joke.)

Seeing this book on the list just makes me wish that some of the amazing fiction was on the list instead. There are some really great Doctor Who fiction out there and new ones are always coming out. The Stone Rose is one of my favorites, and I will also recommend the audio recording of Dead Air. -KA
