FlumeAward – House Rules Discussion page for House Rules by Jodi Picoult
Picoult is popular at our school. This book deals with Asperger’s and despite its oversentimentality and over the top Asperger’s conditions the main character exhibits (our Asperger’s/Autism staff refer to him as the "super Asperger’s boy" because no one person can have that many attributes) the book is popular and teaches about Asperger’s well.

Again, Picoult would not be my choice of author for this award list especially as she has been on it in the past with other titles, but if others want to fight for it, this would be the better pick. Sally Nelson, Leach Library
I agree with both Kelly and Sally. We need to decide if we want a Picoult book on the list. If we do, this is a better choice over Handle with Care. In my opinion, neither of these are as good as My Sister’s Keeper or Nineteen Minutes.
