Romance and horror with gothic overtones, there are pop culture references that maybe not everyone will get (do teens watch Buffy reruns?). Violence as well but not for titillating purposes; it fits the story. Kelly Budd, Keene High

I feel like since Supernatural is pretty popular, this book holds a lot of appeal. When I read it all I could think was how similar to Supernatural it was. I do agree with Kelly that some of the reference might go over their heads, but I think those who do get the references will love them. – Britt – HML

This one is on my to-read -list! I think the premiss is very intriguing. I will post my opinion when I’m finished. Kerri ACML

I really liked this, and appreciated that it was not as creepy as I was afraid it would be throughout the whole story -just in parts!
Cas is a ghost hunter. It’s a family legacy, which Cas inherited from his father, along with the Athame he uses to dispatch troublesome spirits. Cas chases down ghost legends, with help from folks all over who feed him tips. His next mark is Anna Dressed in Blood. He does his research, learning more about her from local teens, and then he meets her.
Nice and suspenseful. Refreshingly told from a male perspective. Great for older teens. -Kirsten Rundquist Corbett, Sandown Public Library

I really enjoyed this book- super creepy in parts, but not overwhelmingly so. While it’s a boy’s perspective, this book has been equally popular with girls, and is usually out at my library. A strong pick.
-Lucia, Wiggin Memorial Library, Stratham

FlumeAward – Anna Dressed in Blood Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake The Croak series has made the Grimm Reaper story popular, and this book about a ghost killer …

[28

post-2040","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-flume-award-titles
["GET
