But this one was a little different. With everyone over 18 infertile, teenage girls are paid for getting pregnant, and it’s the ‘in’ fashion to wear fake baby bumps and things. As I recall, it was a bit more light-hearted than your typical dystopia. Not that it wasn’t clearly dystopic! I was looking [[#|forward]] to the sequel. I’ll have to look that up. I gave it 4 stars on Goodreads at the time I read it. – Jan 2013, Julie – Nashua PL —- The sequel/conclusion (Thumped) was okay, except riddled with typos and with a glaring quidditch error! Dude, if you think beaters throw quaffles, then you need to not include quidditch in your book! – Feb 2013 – Julie A.

I [[#|agree]], light-hearted. I think I prefer the "heavier" ones because I only gave it 2 stars on Goodreads. I just read the second one, Thumped, and also gave it 2 stars. I wished there was more to the plot. – Cristy Smith, Pembroke Academy

This was a bit more light-hearted, which may be a good introduction to teens who haven’t dipped into dystopian novels yet. I think the pregnancy aspect will really grab teen’s attention. It seemed a bit ridiculous, but I thought it was a great read.
Brittany Moore – Hall Memorial Library

FlumeAward – Bumped Bumped by Megan McCafferty One of those dystopias with a female protagonist!
