(I must have looked like a loon to anyone driving by me as I listened in my car -I highly recommend Nick Podehl’s narration!) The scary thing would be if this is really how 14 year old boys are. Not having been a 14 year old boy ever, I wouldn’t know, but man was Will Carter funny! I would recommend it to boys and girls 7th grade +. I gave it to my niece as a cautionary tale before she went into high school. Even if its portrayal of teen boys is not to be believed, this is a good humorous book for both sexes, and definitely appropriate for high school.
-Kirsten Rundquist Corbett, Lane Memorial Library, Hampton

This book is a riot! When I’ve recommended it to kids, they often come back in a day or two and say incredulously, "You read this?!" Let’s face it, the inside of a 14-year-old boy’s mind is not always an appropriate place, so there are several blush-worthy moments, but all in all it is an engaging, realistic look at teen romance from the boy’s point-of-view.
Kathy Pearce, Oyster River HS, Durham

FlumeAward – Carter Finally Gets It //Carter Finally Gets It// by Brent Crawford I really enjoyed this one -I was laughing out loud through pretty much the whole thing.
