This book is fast-paced, well written, has really vivid descriptive language and a different twist on the vampire story. Despite the fact that I’m really tired of vampire stories in general, I think teens who like this subgenre will be pleased with this as a Flume nominee.

I loved the concept behind this book – the idea that if there were vampires, we’d be watching reality TV shows about them. It’s fast paced and full of action and intrigue and interesting characters. I also liked that this was a standalone.

Disclaimer: I didn’t finish this, but not because I didn’t want to. What I did read was awesome. It didn’t feel like every other vampire story out there. The one lead vampire character was sexy enough that it would please the paranormal romance fans, but it also complimented the whole "viral-paranormal disease" trend which is usually for zombie plots. It also reflected some interesting social issues, especially in how some people try to get into Coldtowns. It was just creepy enough, the protagonist was very intriguing and. . . ack, I need to go back and finish this book!
