-I really enjoyed this book – good basic contemporary fiction with both a male and female protagonist, although I do think that it will have more appeal to girls. I would recommend for the list. Susan – Seabrook Library<\/p>\n

– I did not like this book at all. When I picked the book and read the summry I thoght it had a good potential. I downloaded the book to listen to it.
A couple of chapters later, I dropped it because it was getting real boring.

Yasmin and I usually agree on books, but not this time! I too downloaded the audio book and thought it was light, charming, and fun. The female main character is very annoying at first (especially in the audio version), but that’s sort of the point. This is a story about the assumptions we make about other people and about really getting to know someone and yourself. I would recommend it to the list. High girl-appeal, but will also appeal to LGBTQ readers who are fans of Levithan’s.

Of the three books that Levithan and Cohn have written together, this might be my favorite, because the characters they created broke out of the normal patterns that exist in both their books. They are annoying at times, but endearing. I think readers will relate to the characters, since they are a little less glamorous or popular than those in other books.

I LOVED this book! I agree with Sophie- my favorite of the 3 Cohn\/Levithan books. The voices of both characters were clearly defined, great humor, and an interesting will they\/won’t they throughout. I would be very happy to see this on the Flume list- also, let’s remember that audio books don’t always represent the book to its best light- check out the "Hunger Games" audio for an example of a great book with a dull, horrible reader.

Very well written novel about two unusual New York City teenagers who love reading, writing and communicating with each other via a journal. Might be a hard sell for high school students. Do the students at your school like it? It hasn’t been checked out at Dover High yet.

I LOVED this book too. The vocab is rich, the characters well drawn (even the minor characters) and the voices of the characters were distinct. Lily was annoying, Dash was pretentious (and wonderfully snarky) – and both showed growth over the Christmas vacation. I had it at the circ desk the other day and a student came to me who had just finished it. She also loved the book. This would be a great book for the list.
