It’s not flawless, though its flaws provide great discussion points: there’s some fat-shaming (when A takes over an overweight body), and the question of consent – does A have the right to be in sexual relationships when s/he doesn’t own the body s/he’s in? The premise provides for a great page-turner, though, to see who A ends up as next and how s/he pursues the girl in question. And books that touch on gender-fluidity right now are very topical (though A is by no means a trans character). Good contender for final list. – Liz G, Merrimack PL

Great story, lots of moral dilemmas, cool idea of body jumping. Remember the series Quantum Leap? That’s what this book reminds me of. It was on the Teen Top Ten List last year.
-Kelly Budd, Keene High

This is a very quick read that has a unique and engaging concept. It’s VERY hard to booktalk since the main character’s gender is unknown or forever changing! It has been very popular here. Lots of great fodder for conversation and thought bundled into a very small package. This one is a keeper!
Kathy Pearce, Oyster River HS

This is one of my favorite YA novels – it offers so much to think about. Having no gender is outside of most people’s comfort zone AND is a great way of thinking how it feels to live inside somebody else’s skin. Flesher, Nashua South

I’m with Flesher and all the other reviewers. It offers a lot to think about and it’s really engaging. The whole concept is fascinating. I think it’s a perfect Flume choice.
Heidi Grant, Nashua High School North

Fantastic depiction of the lives and the trials and tribulations other may face that are not always readily explored or discussed. The interesting and unbelievable nature (while still probably considered a realistic fiction novel) of the book was balanced by relatable activities and experiences but with plenty of mystery and difficult decisions the main character must face. 5/5
Emily Croot–Oyster River HS student intern

FlumeAward – Every Day Every Day by David Levithan I remember enjoying this a lot (audio version, great narration).
