BTW, I buy the Ultimate Editions, which combine 2 of the paperbacks into one hardcover. The series has a devout and loyal following here in Newington, boys and girls. &#8211;Scott<\/p>\n<p>Would you rule out every manga series because it&#8217;s a series and not stand-alone? Granted this is one of the larger series, but the series is complete and not ongoing. However, if it&#8217;s the first book, I don&#8217;t think it fits the date criteria- my book #3 came out in &#8217;99. Not the best manga I&#8217;ve read, but the teens &amp; tweens in Stratham like it well enough.
