The story incorporates important issues such as being true to yourself even when losing everything is at stake, living with a sibling who is &quot;different&quot;, true love doesn&#8217;t involve peer pressure and sometimes good kids do bad things.The book has female teen appeal but is not worthy of a nomination.<br \/>~Kathy Lamarre for Kathy Watson, Kimball Library<\/p>\n<p>This book has been on our nomination list before. I read it when we discussed before. It is a teen romance that touches on bigger issues. I don&#8217;t really believe that it isn&#8217;t worthy of a nomination. It is as good as many of the other books that we will consider but in the end it might not be good enough.
