In Quaking, Matt (the main character) lives with a cousin she calls Loopy. Matt has actually lived with a lot of her cousins. Matt dresses &quot;goth&quot; and is on her way to live with her Quaker relatives (she thought Quakers were extinct), while her cousin Loopy goes of on a mission trip (to places where people haven&#8217;t even heard of Jesus). Although she finds the Quaker life a little odd, they accept her how she is and do not try to convert her, but rather help her to find herself. Unfortunately things are not all hunky-dory. Violence finds them in the form of peace haters who attack the people and churches who believe in peace.
