This book also includes a music CD. A married couple splits and has to decide what to do with their frozen embryos.
The father thinks that he should have them-mainly because of religious influences. The women has become involved with another woman and feels that she should have them for a possible conception. While I enjoyed this book, I had issues with the religious"zealot" portrayals and the sub story about music therapy. This story really stops and makes you think about what is a family to you and what does family mean to someone else. Overall, good read but not as exciting as some of her other books.

I am usually a huge fan of Picoult, but this was my least favorite of her books. I actually didn’t finish it. I’m not sure it has strong teen appeal; definitely not as much as some of her others.

I liked the book. But since there are no young characters, I’m not sure it would appeal to teens.

I am not a fan of Jodi Picoult, though I accept her broad appeal to many people. There are several of her books that are loved by teen girls but this is not destined to be one of them. The subject matter does not speak to most teens as it is beyond their imagining. The pace was slow and the religious aspects made it even slower. Adult patrons who checked this out have commented that they also did not finish it and they were disappointed in the book. Sally Nelson, Leach Library, Londonderry

Sad to say, I am a Picoult fan but this was my least favorite book of hers and I’ve read them all. I don’t recommend it for the list. I will also say it lacks teen appeal.
Kathy Watson
Kimball Library (Atkinson)

FlumeAward – Sing You Home Sing You Home by Jodi Another great controversial book from Jodi Picoult.
