I find that some kids like this much more than the twilight series. It just depends. Gail Zachariah, Keene Public Library<\/p>\n

This was just as engaging to me as the Twilight Series. Though marketed to adults, I didn’t think the themes were any more adult than her YA titles. A little more gruesome in the detail –though not more so than Breaking Dawn’s birth scene!

I’m finding this one a little slow compared to the Twlight saga. The concept is interesting though and the themes are not too advanced for older teens. Amy Inglis, Barrington<\/p>\n

I don’t think teens will care about this book the way they did Meyer’s Twilight series. I think it’s more for adults. It’s not hard to read, but the plot requires more philosophical thinking. The students who read it didn’t care for it, and my adult Twilight fans didn’t like it at all. Although I enjoyed it, I don’t see it having mass appeal.

I was bored, and, admittedly, only read my 50 page requirement. I just wasn’t interested in continuing, and I haven’t found any teens who have enjoyed the book, OR who have finished it. Not really worthy of the Flume list in my opinion.

Thanks Lisa for putting words to my frustrations with this title. It sits in my library with no crossover from the Twilight series. I made it for 100 pages but that was because I’m type A.

The plot is not original – think Invasion of the Body Snatchers – and it feels like the first in the series (which I think was Meyer’s plan but it’s been a few years since this was written and not second book has come out).
