Over time, Albom learns about many parts of The Reb&#8217;s life and over 8 years gathers the information needed to offer the eulogy and simultaneously changing Albom&#8217;s life. At the same time, Albom is also getting to know Henry Covington, a Christian pastor who ministers at a church \/ homeless shelter that is falling apart at the seams. Covington, a reformed drug addict offers people a place to heal and learn about God.<br \/>Review: What makes this book powerful is that Albom does not stick to the Christian and Jewish religions as he explores the concept of faith. He touches upon many religions and how we must accept each other and understand that we don\u2019t know it all and we must understand that others might have knowledge of something that we don\u2019t. He also looks at faith within many contexts: life, marriage, school, wealth, poverty\u2026 and the list goes on. This read just sweeps one away, offers a lot to think about, and should be on every person\u2019s reading list. It was nice to have The Lecture on last year\u2019s list as it was an offering that can take someone to a different place. Albom\u2019s book serves the same purpose.
