The robots can be programmed using the small keypad and screen on the device itself. No other equipment is necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Each line of code is one executable movement. Kids will need to learn to measure distance and configure turning angles to accurately program the robots to navigate a course.<\/p>\n<p>David from the Barrington Public Library had this to say about using the robots at his library:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I\u2019ve been using the kits to supplement an after-school enrichment program with the Barrington Middle School called \u201cCuriosity Unleashed.\u201d I had the students program the Rover to navigate a boot-camp obstacle course around the library. Once they mastered that, we went to Mars! I had created a Martian landscape using cardboard boxes where the students were split into two Space Programs with the mission to rescue a downed crew member and return safely to the shuttle.
