FlumeAward – Bec Discussion page for Bec
Hi, this is Sarah Foster from Hooksett. I always recommend Darren Shan for reluctant readers, and while Bec is a part of the The Demonata series it does stand alone. Just a heads up: this book is bloody! I think these books tend to appeal to boys, but I have quite a few girls who have read the series as well. I would love to see this book make it to the final 13!
I agree with Sarah that Bec is bloody. Darren Shan has lost his popularity at our school. Don’t get me wrong; there are quite a few students who are still reading Shan, but the numbers have decreased the past year compared to what they used to be.
