FlumeAward – Betrayed Discussion page for Betrayed
I started this book and felt from the beginning that I was missing information. I then realized this is a second book in a series. I have handed it off to my 18 year old daughter to see if it is my bias or not. To be fair, I didn’t read all that much. I will update this post when my daughter finishes.
Update: My daughter read this book and says it can stand alone. She says it is somewhat predictable, but it was appealing enough for her to read the next in the series. I will say this series flies off the shelves here.

I read the first book in this series and that was enough to make me not want to read the second. The narrator’s voice and the language were a bit shocking since I’d thought of this as a "Twilight readalike." However, this series is incredibly popular in my library.

After reading 45 pages or so, I’m not interested in continuing. The writing is poor, and I’m not interested in the subject. There are so many really well written books available for the Flume’s top 13; I would think this needn’t be one of them.
