FlumeAward – Black Hole Sun //Black Hole Sun// by David Macinnis Gill
A good book! I haven’t had lots of luck getting students to read this one.

Durango leads a bunch of left-over mercenaries on a mission to save the children of miners who live on a futuristic Mars from cannibals. Here you fill find a lot of acrobatic fighting, jury-rigged solutions, and futuristic weapons (oh and a little impossible love interest). There is a sarcastic artificial intelligence being living in Durango’s brain that offers a bit of humor.
This should appeal to the boys and adventure minded girls. ~ Sharon Flesher-Duffy, Nashua High South
