I have to agree. I loved this book, but it is really the story of the journey of a mature woman and a small town than of Dewey himself. I can’t see a place for this book on the Flume list, and I hope my cat is not watching!

This book will appeal more to adults than kids…the story is really about a middle aged librarian, not the cat in my opinion. I think other titles on this list will appeal much more to teens.

I loved this book. Unfortunately I don’t think many high schoolers will get her problems with her divorce, her problems with her teenage daughter, etc. A great book for an adult book discussion, but not for high school.
