FlumeAward – Entwined

FlumeAward – Entwined //Entwined// by Heather Dixon

Azalea, the oldest of eleven sisters and next in line to be queen, loves dancing and has been trained by her mother. After her mother’s death, and after the King begins ignoring them and forbids dancing while they are in mourning, the sisters find a secret passageway in their house to a dancing pavilion where they meet the Keeper. They are able to dance each night undetected by the King or the household staff. Unfortunately, there is a high price that they don’t realize until it’s too late. This book was interesting but would definitely appeal most to girls. Certain parts of it bothered me (various scenes of being saved by men, etc.) and it was sometimes hard to keep the twelve sisters straight. I wouldn’t recommend this for the final list.
