FlumeAward – Eon Dragoneye Reborn Discussion page for Eon: Dragoneye Reborn by Alison Goodman
Made of awesome!!! I picked this as one of my personal best books I read in 2010. Anime and manga lovers should find much to like in this book. And there’s some cool genderbending stuff going on as well, since the main character is a girl disguised as a boy. I’m eagerly awaiting the sequel. It may also interest people to know that it made the James Tiptree Jr. Award Honor List for exploring and expanding gender in science fiction and fantasy. Plus, dragons! Swords! What’s not to like? The sequel is due out soon, but not soon enough. Also, this is an Australian author, so this book has several titles. — Julie Andrews – Nashua Public Library
Julie is right! This book is a stunner, with great characters, strong action and a complex plot. Fantasy readers of all stripes will enjoy this page-turner, as will folks who have an interest in Asian folklore. — Wally Keniston, Oyster River High School Library.
I agree. We are always looking for good fantasy and this would definitely fill the bill. However, the book is no longer available except in Kindle from Amazon and B&T only has 12 paperbacks and 10 hardcovers left so this could be a problem.
