This book is one in a long line of Twilight wanna-bes. I hated every syrupy melodrama-laden minute of it. While I’m sure it would be popular with the vampire/werewolf/shapeshifter romance fans, I would not be in favor of including it on the list. The quality just isn’t there.

I have to say that I think this book will be very popular with teen girls. Our copy keeps flying off the shelves. As the first in a series, it lays the groundwork and leaves teen readers waiting for the sequel. Is it well written? No, in all honesty, but it is definitely very popular. I won’t fight for it to be included, but I do think we should consider it. Sally Nelson, Leach Library
