A very long book that seems to be a long winded set up for another book. I got pretty annoyed when the one thing it was building towards was "put off" and never really happened. I guess I’m supposed to pine for the next 500 page tome but don’t care enough to read it. I loved the historical story woben through and wanted more of that and less of the annoying teen girl who can’t make a decision. – Amy I.
Like Amy, I found parts of the book tedious, but it is popular with teen girls at my school. And there was a long list of holds for the second in the series when it came out.
