This heart-wrenching book, I’m sure, has a lot of teen appeal. It’s depressing to read these drug stories, but I think this one certainly has a place on the list. I had not read Crank and I found that I didn’t need to to understand the characters and events. I think other titles would be more worthy of being in the top 13, however.

From the teen’s perspective, this is incredibly popular, we can’t keep them on the shelf. At least one of her books should be on the list if we want it to reflect what teens are really reading. Beth, Pelham
