FlumeAward – I am Princess X I am Princess X by Cherie Priest
Definitely worthy of the top 10 list. I listened to this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Think if I would have read it, I would have enjoyed it even more! It is a mix of narrative and graphic novel formats. Two best friends write a super hero graphic novel together, Princess X. After a terrible accident the friends are separated by "death", only to be brought back together by the super hero in their graphic novel. Just the right mix of teen friendship, super heroes, and the dark web. The "techy" side of the book will definitely appeal to kids into the intricacies of the internet and technology. It is a stand alone book that could easily be sold to both boys and girls.

A quick read, very compelling, as May starts seeing paraphernalia all over the place from a comic she’d created with her friend, Libby, in 5th grade, the problem being that Libby died three years ago. The hunt for clues to find the truth was engaging, and the format of text mixed with comic book frames made it a page-turner. Great for teens of any age, boys or girls.
