FlumeAward – Nightshade Discussion page for Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
I loved this book…an interesting spin on the werewolf idea with a protagonist I could relate to (in all her wavering between two boys). The author sets up a love triangle that works to create tension and leaves the end open for another book…a book I want to read to find what happens to the characters and to find out more back story. A Twilight type that actually hits the mark. Amy I.
This book is definitely overlooked in the current craze of supernatural, by Andrea Cremer is a deft writer. She crafted a perfect main character to lead a pack. She was very strong and sure of herself. The love triangle was a nice touch, and I’m glad it happened in the first book instead of in the second, like these things tend to do. I think this should make the list, because girls who are paranormal fans, but want a main character that is a little less helpless will flock to this one.
