The Magformers Smart Set is a large set of 144 magnetic shapes that attach to one another to form some very cool projects. I think a few children could use the kit at the same time — provided that don’t all want to build a vehicle! Also included in the kit is a booklet with two dozen easy to follow projects.

The toy is recommended for children aged 6 and up, but I don’t think any of the parts could be swallowed by young children. The pieces come together by magnetic force, but not in a way that could pinch little fingers and the pieces break apart very easily.

This would be great toy for passive, walk-in programming or as an additional toy for your LEGO group members.
